Community Guidelines

Draft — not yet legally reviewed. This document describes how the platform actually behaves, but has not been approved by counsel against the Nigeria Data Protection Act. It must not be relied on, and must be signed off before launch.

Elite Circle works when people are honest and behave decently. These are the rules. They apply to profiles, photographs, messages and to how you behave when you meet.

Be yourself

  • Use your own photographs, taken recently, showing your face.
  • Do not pretend to be someone else, or use another person's pictures.
  • Do not misstate your age. Everyone here is 18 or over.

Photographs

  • No nudity or sexually explicit content.
  • No images of children, including your own, as the main profile photo.
  • No weapons, violence, or illegal drugs.
  • No photographs of other people who have not agreed to appear.
  • No screenshots, memes, or pictures that are only text.

Every photograph is reviewed before it appears. Approval takes minutes, not days.

Messages

  • No harassment, threats, or abuse.
  • No hate speech targeting anyone's race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender or sexuality.
  • No unsolicited sexual messages or images.
  • If someone stops replying, that is your answer. Leave it there.

Nothing commercial

  • No advertising, promotion, or recruitment.
  • No requests for money, gifts, or investment — including cryptocurrency.
  • No sex work or trafficking of any kind.

Anyone asking you for money is running a scam. Report it. You will never be penalised for reporting someone in good faith.

Respect privacy

  • Do not share another member's photographs, messages or details outside the app.
  • Do not post anyone's phone number, address or workplace.

What happens when rules are broken

Depending on what happened, we may:

  • Remove the content and tell the member why.
  • Limit an account's reach for a period.
  • Suspend the account, with a stated reason and a route to appeal.
  • Ban permanently and, where there is a risk to someone, involve the police.

Threats of violence, sexual content involving minors, and trafficking result in an immediate permanent ban and a report to law enforcement. There is no appeal for these.

Reporting

Every profile and conversation has a report option. Reports go to a trained reviewer, not an automated queue, and safety reports are handled ahead of everything else. You can also write to safety@elitecircle.site.
