Cookie Policy

Draft — not yet legally reviewed. This document describes how the platform actually behaves, but has not been approved by counsel against the Nigeria Data Protection Act. It must not be relied on, and must be signed off before launch.

This site uses very little browser storage, and none of it for advertising. There is no consent banner because there is nothing here that requires consent.

What we store

Strictly necessary

Session cookie — set only when you sign in to the web app. It keeps you signed in and is removed when you sign out.
CSRF token — a security measure that stops another site submitting forms on your behalf.

Preference

ec-colour-scheme — remembers whether you chose light or dark. Stored in your browser's local storage, never sent to us.

What we do not use

No advertising or retargeting cookies.
No third-party trackers or social media pixels.
No cross-site profiling of any kind.

This is a deliberate decision, not an oversight. A dating site that lets an ad network observe who visits it leaks something about people that they did not agree to share.

Analytics

We measure how the product is used through events recorded in our own systems, tied to your account rather than to a browser cookie, and only while you are signed in. Nothing is shared with a third-party analytics provider.

Controlling storage

You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time. Clearing the session cookie signs you out; clearing the preference means the site follows your device's light or dark setting again.
